About The Role

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join the backend team with outstanding software development talent proven by great work results/experience.

Somebody that cares about code quality and not just gets things done, but gets things done right.

If you're smart, have great energy, can't think about a system without a CI/CD pipeline and you want to thrive in a fast-paced environment, we are in sync.

Responsibilities

On your first month in Fever, you will:

• Be fully integrated into the team, participating in plannings, groomings, and retrospectives.
  
  
• Get familiar with Fever’s tech stack, frameworks, CI/CD workflows, and infrastructure.
  
  
• Have lots of Pull Requests merged and running in production.
  
  
• Attend some of the Fever Original’s experiences.
  
  

After 3 months in Fever, you will:

• Come up with solutions to new difficult problems, defining the solution from the architecture design to its implementation.
  
  
• Continue creating production-grade Python code designed to handle high levels of traffic, measuring the outcome of the functionalities and improving the product.
  
  
• Participate in some of the hackdays or hackathons we organize with other teams.
  
  

On your 6th month in Fever, you will:

• Have responsibilities over different parts of the systems, analyzing the usage from the users and evolving the platform to meet the user’s needs.
  
  
• Have participated in the launch of one of our new microservices, from 0 to production.
  
  
• Mentor other team members through code reviews, sessions of architecture design, and pair programming.
  
  
• Participate in some of the team buildings we organize for your team or the whole engineering team.
  
  

About You

Must-have skills:

• Strong knowledge of good practices, testing, and design patterns.
  
  
• Proficient in business English.
  
  
• Know how to deliver code from development to production.
  
  
• Experience with RESTful APIs (implementation and consumption).
  
  
• Knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
  
  

We use these technologies, so it would be a plus if you have experience in:

• Django/Flask.
  
  
• PostgreSQL.
  
  
• Redis.
  
  
• Experience with event streaming platforms such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
  
  
• Experience working on agile methodology.
  
  
• Event communication between services.
  
  
• Handling services with more than 1000 requests/second.
  
  
• AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.

• Engineering Manager Interview - 1h: A deep dive into your technical expertise and your opportunity to ask anything you need to know about your day-to-day at Fever.
