ENGAGEMENT MANAGER

Job description

Svitla Systems Inc.

is looking for an Engagement Manager for a part-time or full-time remote position (40 hours per week) in Argentina.

You will own client outcomes across complex, multi-disciplinary technology engagements.

You will begin part-time at roughly 10 hours per week (with client meetings across the US (EST to PST) time zones) to establish traction with a small portfolio of accounts.

As scope and success expand, the role will ramp to full-time and broaden to include program oversight and mentoring.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in leading technology projects with proven end-to-end delivery.

PMI certification (PMP, PgMP, or PMI-ACP) is strongly preferred.

  • Practical understanding of modern AI, including at least three of the following: computer vision, audio processing, generative models, retrieval-augmented generation, agentic orchestration, and model evaluation.

Expertise in discussing data pipelines, safety, and measurement at a working level.

  • Be comfortable with agile and hybrid delivery.

  • Knowledge of Jira or Azure DevOps, Confluence or Notion, and standard PM toolsets for schedules, budgets, and resource plans.

  • History of running customer-facing engagements, navigating ambiguity, and making informed tradeoffs.

  • Strong ownership mindset.

Excellent prioritization and on-time execution across multiple workstreams.

  • Exceptional English skills in speaking and writing, with the ability to brief executives clearly and coach teams constructively.

Nice to have:

  • Experience in cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and MLOps toolchains.

  • Background in analytics, experimentation, or product management.

  • Familiarity with data privacy, security standards, or regulated environments.

  • Consulting or professional services experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead discovery sessions, clarify goals, define success criteria, and translate business objectives into delivery plans.

Run weekly status calls, QBRs, and executive readouts.

  • Build and manage project charters, schedules, budgets, risks, and dependencies.

Maintain RAID logs, change control, and stakeholder maps.

  • Shape statements of work, acceptance criteria, and milestones.

Manage assumptions, out-of-scope requests, and approvals.

  • Partner with architects and data scientists to plan and track AI initiatives across vision, audio, generative, retrieval, and agentic workflows.

Ensure data, evaluation, and safety requirements are explicit and testable.

  • Define test strategies and acceptance plans.

Ensure model evaluation, bias checks, privacy, and security controls are documented and followed.

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams spanning product, design, data, MLOps, and engineering.

Unblock issues quickly and keep work flowing.

  • Track burn, velocity, forecast, margin, utilization, and SLA performance.

Publish simple, accurate dashboards that show progress and risks.

  • Write crisp status reports and decision memos.

Facilitate workshops and retrospective sessions that produce clear actions.

  • Anticipate risks related to delivery, data, compliance, and change management.

Propose mitigation plans early and drive decisions.

  • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities that add real value.

Prepare estimates and options that align cost, timeline, and outcomes.

Success Metrics:

  • On-time, on-budget delivery with apparent acceptance and minimal rework.

  • CSAT, NPS, and referenceability measure client satisfaction.

  • Portfolio margin and forecast accuracy within agreed thresholds.

  • Risk transparency with proactive mitigations and no surprise escalations.

  • Clear, concise written updates and decision logs that stand on their own.
