Overview

As a Delivery Lead at Halo, you'll be the cornerstone of successful project execution, leading cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

You'll ensure that delivery processes are meticulously followed, risks are proactively mitigated, and communication with stakeholders is seamless.

While you'll collaborate closely with Client Managers on project financials where applicable, your professional development and adherence to delivery best practices will be under the direct guidance of the Manager of Delivery.

This role demands a proactive individual with exceptional organizational and communication skills, committed to driving continuous improvement and ensuring client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • 1.

    Project Planning & Scope Management:
    Collaborate with the Business Analyst and stakeholders to thoroughly understand user needs, define product requirements, and establish clear project objectives.

    Ensure the project maintains a healthy, well-prioritized, and refined backlog, with clearly defined acceptance criteria and descriptions.

    Maintain an updated project roadmap, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.

    Assess and confirm that the defined scope is within the team's capacity, actively managing scope creep and setting realistic expectations with stakeholders.

    Identify and champion opportunities for product enhancement and innovation.

  • 2.

    Delivery Execution & Quality Assurance:
    Oversee daily team activities, review pending tasks, and prioritize work to ensure delivery dates are met consistently.

    Champion and enforce continuous improvement within the team, ensuring adherence to best practices and high-quality standards.

    Monitor and track project progress, actively managing risks, critical dependencies, and issues through detailed documentation, and proposing effective mitigation plans.

    Proactively escalate high-risk items and critical blockers to the Client Manager and Manager of Delivery (where applicable) without delay.

    Ensure the team has all necessary resources and support to achieve project goals.

    Guarantee client satisfaction with the quality and timeliness of team deliverables.

  • 3.

    Team Facilitation & Coordination:
    Lead and facilitate key agile ceremonies, including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Retrospective, Refinement, and Review sessions, fostering a collaborative and productive environment.

    Conduct regular meetings with Technical Leads (TLs) and Product Owners/Business Analysts (PO/BAs) to review roadmap/backlog health and team morale.

    Facilitate status meetings with clients to discuss progress, objectives, and proactively address risks and challenges.

    Conduct periodic 1:1 meetings with individual team members, providing support for their development and addressing any concerns or issues.

    Collaborate closely with the Client Manager to review and update Profit & Loss (P&L) forecasts, accounting for personnel changes, PTO, UPTO, and other project costs.

    For Time & Materials (T&M) projects, meticulously track team hours and ensure accurate recording in designated time tracking and project management tools.

    For Fixed Price (FP) projects, confirm that team allocation remains strictly within the defined budget.

  • 5.

    Client Relationship Management:
    Establish and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with clients through regular check-ins, meetings, and responsive ad-hoc communication.

    Ensure clients have a clear understanding of project scope, limitations, and set realistic expectations from the outset.

    Act as the primary point of contact for the client, facilitating seamless communication between the client and the project team.

    Proactively troubleshoot and resolve issues or concerns that arise throughout the project lifecycle.

    Keep the client continuously informed of project progress, potential risks, and any emerging issues.

    Ensure demos are well-prepared, presented effectively, and client feedback is meticulously captured and addressed.

  • 6.

    Release Management:
    Plan and coordinate releases in close collaboration with the Pod Lead and PO, tracking deployments, identifying deviations, and adjusting plans as needed.

    Document releases thoroughly with detailed release notes and proactively inform clients of upcoming and completed releases.

    Orchestrate activities with team leads to ensure smooth and successful deployments.

  • 7.

    Stakeholder Satisfaction:
    Identify and document stakeholder expectations, regularly measuring their satisfaction with overall project progress and outcomes.

    Foster positive relationships with all stakeholders through proactive, transparent, and consistent communication.

    Actively collect and integrate feedback from stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and ensure alignment.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of proven experience in delivery management or a similar role.

  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Agile).

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

  • Ability to support financial tracking and ensure alignment with project budgets.

  • Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

  • Experience with reporting tools and maintaining accurate documentation.
