About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced backend engineer to join our team of talented engineers that share a common interest in distributed backend systems, scalability, availability, and continuous deployment.

You will build the platform that powers the retail experience for some of the largest brands in the world.

You will use the latest tools and technologies to solve challenging and interesting problems to redefine the way people shop and how online retailers develop relationships with their customers.

Above all, your work will positively impact the lives of millions of users.

What You Will Do:

• You will launch and support some of the coolest subscription brands in the world, impacting the lives of millions of users
• You will code, write unit tests, and collaborate with an awesome group of highly passionate engineers
• You will help our clients to get the best of our platform so we keep them being the bleeding edge of subscription programs
• You will have the opportunity to build and learn distributed systems centered around high-availability and continuous deployment

About You:

• You are a passionate individual who cares deeply about providing a top-tier support to our clients
• You are a skilled communicator, comfortable articulating complex ideas and abstract concepts
• You have a deep understanding of system design, data structures, and algorithms.
  
  
• You care about code quality, know what it means to ship high-quality code, and are eager to continuously improve by leaving the grass greener on any integration that you touch
• You are a passionate mentor and advocate for your technological vision, but you are also respectful and open to learning from other people's viewpoints

Tech Specs

• 4+ years Python developer with a focus on web apps
• Django, Celery preferred but not required
• Bachelors, or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field preferred
• Experience in Linux/UNIX environment, feeling comfortable using the console for your daily basis tasks.
  
  
• Passionate to work with new technologies, but comfortable to deal with legacy systems
• Comfortable and meticulous when digging for deeply hidden bugs.
  
  
• Passionate about leveraging the best of breed technology and eager to learn new skills
• Pluses:
  • Familiar with Google Cloud and k8s
  • Familiar using and creating docker containers
  • Start-up and SaaS experience strongly preferred
